Tuckshop Assistant - Casual
$30.21 per hour + relevant award entitlements including penalty rates, overtime and allowances + superannuation.
The North Rockhampton State High School P&C provide a large P&C-run school tuckshop catering to over 900 students.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised individual to assist in the running our tuckshop in a casual capacity.
You will be a part of a supportive team allowing the rewarding interaction with staff, volunteers and students whilst also collaborating with the wider school community. This opportunity is ideal for someone wanting casual term time work with the opportunity for hours between 6am-5pm Monday to Friday, whist allowing the ability to build positive relationships and broadening their experience in hospitality.
The role of Tuckshop Assistant consists of but are not limited to;
• Assist in food preparation under the direction of the Tuckshop Convenor,
• Check and record deliveries,
• Check temperatures,
• Serve customers and cash handling,
• Contribute to the review of new food products and assist in the implementation of any special tuckshop project,
• Count, rotate and store stock,
• Basic cleaning duties,
• Assist volunteers when required.
To be successful in this role you will need;
• Relevant qualifications and/or experience relating to the position including a current and valid Children Blue Card and Driver's License,
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills,
• Ability to prioritise tasks, use knowledge and initiative to problem solve,
• Commitment to service and performance excellence,
• Understanding of OH&S requirements.
• Ability to manually lift and handle stock.
