Curriculum

​​​Our school curriculum offerings are divided amongst 10 faculties and the Special Education Program.

Year 7/8

All students study the following subjects:

  • English
  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • SOSE - History/Geography/Civics & Citizenship/Business & Economics
  • Health and Physical Education
  • Japanese/Literacy Support

​Students will also study the following rotations:

  • Visual Arts
  • Drama
  • Digital Technologies
  • Music
  • Design & Technologies – Food
  • Design & Technologies - Materials

Year 9

Students will study subjects for a one-year course.  All students will undertake five (5) core subjects:

  • English
  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • Health and Physical Education
  • SOSE - History/Geography

In addition to the five (5) core subjects, students will select two (2) electives:

  • Technology (Design & Technologies – Food, Design & Technologies – Materials & Digital Technology)
  • Japanese, Business
  • The Arts (Music, Drama, Visual Arts)

Each elective area will be studied for one semester.


Year 10 

Students will study subjects for a one year course.  All students will undertake three (3) core subjects

English and Mathematics, Science. As well as History and HPE one semester in addition to the three (3) core subjects, students will select two (2) electives.  

The Senior Phase of Learning

In Senior Years 11 and 12, a student must choose SIX (6) subjects.

Students must study an English subject and at least one Maths subject.

Individual Pathways include;

  • ATAR Pathway 5/6 General subjects or 4 general subjects plus 1 Applied or Certificate III
  • Authority subjects and Authority-Registered subjects VET Pathway
  • School Based Traineeship, alternative entry to uni pathways
  • School Based Apprenticeship
  • Work experience options
  • TAFE or external RTO enrolment
