Supports Available Outside of NRSHS

There are also a range of independent mental health services, activities and resources available outside of NRSHS, who are available to provide helpful information on looking after yours or your child's social-emotional wellbeing and mental health:

Headspace ​

Headspace is here for you. Whether you need information or someone to talk to, we'll connect you with expert support.  The Rockhampton Headspace Centre phone number 07 4911 6040, alternatively eHeadspace can be contacted on 1800 650 890. 

Kids Helpline 

Kids Helpline is Australia only free (even from a mobile) confidential 24/7 online and phone counselling service for young people aged 5 to 25. Kids Helpline 1800 55 1800. 

Lifeline ​

Lifeline is a national charity providing all Australians experiencing a personal crisis with access to 24 hour crisis support and suicide prevention services. Lifeline can be contacted on 13 11 14. 

Beyond Blue 

Beyond Blue provides information and support to help everyone in Australia achieve their best possible mental health. Beyond Blue can be contacted on 1300 22 4636. 

Butterfly Foundation 

The Butterfly foundation represents all people affected by eating disorders and negative body image issues. Butterfly Foundation can be contacted on 1800 33 4673. 

MensLine Australia 

MensLine Australia is the national telephone and online support, information and referral service for men with family and relationship concerns. MensLine Australia can be contacted on 1300 78 99 78.

13YARN

13YARN is an Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander crisis support line, providing support 24/7, where you can yarn in a culturally safe space with Lifeline-trained Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Crisis Support worker. 13YARN Can be contacted on 13 92 76. 

Suicide Call Back Service 

Suicide Call Back Service offers 24/7 telephone counselling support to people at risk of suicide, concerned about someone at risk, bereaved by suicide and people experiencing emotional or mental health issues. Suicide Call Back Service can be contacted on 1300 659 467

1800RESPECT 

1800RESPECT is a service that supports everyone impacted by domestic, family and sexual violence, including men, by providing counselling, information about how to support a someone impacted by violence, assist with finding services in your area, and assist with safety planning.  1800RESPECT can be contacted on 1800 73 77 32. 

Black Dog Institute 

Black Dog Institute offers mental health resources and support tools that you can trust knowing that everything we produce is research-informed and recommended by professionals.

ReachOut 

ReachOut is built with young people for young people. We offer trusted information, self-help, peer support and pathways to other services for further help. 

Head to Health  

Head to Health can help you find digital mental health services from some of Australia's most trusted mental health organisations, bringing together apps, online programs and digital resources.
