NRL ambassadors, Preston Campbell, Clinton Toopi, David Faiumu and Lionel Harbin, visited North Rocky High to speak to our young footballers about the importance of standing up, speaking out and taking action against domestic violence.
The NRL is working alongside domestic violence partners to develop a program called “Voice against Domestic Violence”.  This program is being rolled out to schools in Central Queensland and raises awareness for young league players.
NRSHS teacher, Walson Carlos, said the school was thrilled to have legends of the game teaching students about such a serious social issue.
After completing football drills with the students, the NRL legends also spoke to the aspiring players about how to avoid crossing the line in such a physical sport. And also highlighted that at no point should they ever hurt a woman or a man for that matter.
